Does the noise alter when going round a corner?Wheel bearings generally whine/howl/grumble getting louder with speed and often on corners when the weight transfers onto the affected bearing. So for instance if you were cornering left the weight transfer would put more pressure onto the right hand wheel and that bearing would be noisier if it was the affected one and vice versa if cornering right. When the wheel bearing went on my P1 V70 there was no "rock" to be felt at the wheel when jacked up but the whine was there and got louder/deeper on left hand corners.a new drivers side bearing cured it.The click when moving off could be a sign of cv joint or even the drive shaft splines in the hub wearingor as an off the wall suggestion could it be the handbrake shoes releasing fully?
