Thats as maybe, however we bought it with history from a dealer with just under 100k on the clock, by no means in its first flush of youth. why would the next owner get a 'nasty' surprise? If items were changed in respect of the manufactures maintence spec there wouldn't be anything. Rather than just changing stuff for the sake of changing things.
We do the same with our transport, items have a useful life and when that is reached they are changed as specced by the vehicles builders. That way you get the best possible life and things don't breakdown. If however you want waste money changing things for the sake of it be my guest...
