Update again.
New fuel filter housing and filter fitted (delphi 9001-??? part £30 all told) took about 30 minutes. Only issue is the new fuel housing has been updated to be either right or left handed but a few minutes is all it took to sort out.
Bled system as best I could but there is still a little bit of air in it but seeing a mechanic tonight so it will be sorted. Pump primer on housing stays hard after a run where before you could push it all the way in after 3 minutes or so.
It still is slightly hesitant at times but sure that just the last bits of air bubles in the fuel line between the filter and the injectors. Spent a good 30 minutes tryign to remove it all but it should be all done tonight.
