Hi, got a 2005 2.5 se lux, it went in for the MOT today and I've been told it needs a new rear shock (explain the knocking noise!) Mechanic has advised the best quote he's had for the rear shock was about £700 as it's not a "normal" rear shock.
Apparently he can't locate any patten parts, 2nd hand or otherwise cheaper alternatives than Volvo original. Is this correct. Could mean the difference between binning the car or not, so desperate advise needed please.... thanks v much.
