As a matter of course, for the cost involved I would change the PCV valve which is only about £25 and located behind the oil filter housing.
They are known to fail and cause excessive oil consumption and when I bought my XC90 D5 5 years ago, I changed it automatically because it was cheap to do and was removing a potential issue.
