Morning , Hope this helps , If you have oil dripping from the throttle body it will not cause a short . however the oil may well act as an insulator and result in the ECU failing to obtain accurate readings .

You may well find the potentiometer in the throttle body is a mechanical device & not enjoying the life in a sea of oil . Also ensure you clean off any oil from the connector before refitting to eliminate the possibility of the oil acting as an insulator , possibly affecting the voltage to/ from the sensor .
