You may well find the potentiometer in the throttle body is a mechanical device & not enjoying the life in a sea of oil . Also ensure you clean off any oil from the connector before refitting to eliminate the possibility of the oil acting as an insulator , possibly affecting the voltage to/ from the sensor .
Thanks, yes if the oil affects it then i think that was my problem, already renewed the gaskets so shouldnt be a problem going forward. The connector outside was spotless but inside... well it wasnt.
