Heavier than Clio for sure, mk3 5 door Golf probably similar weight but Golf is dead easy to push, so I'm now thinking tyre width and pressures...

Sounds like both you and the car are getting a good workout!

Yes. Had dad up this weekend and pushed his Qashqai (managed to squeeze 3 cars on to the drive with just inches spare) and that's real easy to push too.

So I'm thinking tyre width/pressure. The tyres on mine are 225/35/19 but recently I've been thinking they look like they need more air in them (just upped them to 37.5psi/2.6 bar). Anyone got any thoughts on that pressure in the fronts on 19s?

Pic attached here but angles can be deceptive to be honest...

ECO 38 psi works wonders for the tyres , steering precision and tyre life and fuel consumption as long as you are happy with the ride . 40 psi is the next stage to test but you are on diminishing returns by then but this does give the ultimate protection for valuable alloy wheels going into pot holes .
