Just buy a CHRA from Melett to suit the original turbo. A mitsubishi Td04 15g in the T5s and T5-r.

Pull the cold side of the turbo - leaving the hot side bolted to the manifold - swap out the CHRA - replace the recirc valve & actuator if they are weak (check ebay for spares) - then slide it back in, bolt up central clamp, the coolant & oil lines, replace vac hoses as required.

Job jobbed.

Set you back about £150 in parts. Hard on the knuckles, getting the banjo bolts out, but very straightforward otherwise.

If your not mechanically minded then tak3 it to a garage who can either do the above or take the whole turbo off & semd it to one of the numerous Turbo rebuild specialist before refitting the reconditioned unit. You won't see much change from £650 plus, depending on your garages hourly rate and how much you pay for the turbo rebuild, normally about £350 ish with postage.

Good luck, its a easy fix, and you have choices.

Cheers, Morgan
