Assuming you are staying fairly standard I would just find a 16T unit from a svc70t5 and split it leaving your exhaust housing in place and just directly fitting the turbo core and compressor housing.

Are the later turbos a straight swap on a T5-R (conical vs straight flange)?
Is that the idea behind splitting and keeping the original exhaust housing?
Really looking at 18/19T options that can be fitted to a T5-R, but keeping the original turbo intact so the car can be returned to standard.
