My S60 has this problem, my local dealer in Havant did the software update and replaced a fan (going to find out why) and clean the throttle unit. I collected the car drove 2 miles down the road before the warning lights were back on, so back it went. They called yesterday to tell me that the ETM would need replacing at a cost of £456.00 this is with the 20% discount Volvo UK are giving for a car over 5 years old, newer you get 50%. So off to CAB later to start going through the small claims court to try and get my money back, seeing as Volvo of North America has just extended the warranty on the ETM to ten years or 322,000km (200,000 miles) on the clock. Not fair being discriminated against just as I live in the UK.
