Default LPG Service Advice - Cheshire / Manchester

Hi,

We're running a P-Reg Volvo 940 Estate, which has done 255,000 miles.

We bought it in September 2007, it had done 107,000 miles at the time.

We had it converted to LPG in Jan 2008, it was done by a man called Mike Brace who lived in Anglesey.

We've never had it serviced, but it is due a service because for the last couple of weeks, when the car is running on LPG the performance is very poor - it's like it's running on "kangaroo" fuel - i.e. it's very jumpy. When I accellerate, it feels like there is a blockage or something as it is such an erratic process to speed up. The revs do gradually increase, but the feeling is like someone is rapidly applying the brakes and then removing them - e.g. you lurch forwards and then it's okay, and then it lurches again, but all in very quick succession.

Once I'm running at the required speed, it's smooth. The problem only occurs when accellerating.

This issue happens as soon as I start the engine, and does not improve as the engine warms up. I have a 1 hour commute to work - it's the same for the duration of the journey.

The issue does not happen when the engine runs on petrol.

I wondered if anyone might be able to recommend a good place for getting a service of a car running on an OMVL LPG conversion?

I work in central Manchester, and live in mid Cheshire.

I've found one place, called Panache Auto Centre, but it has very mixed reviews on google. I know that's not always a great way to judge a company though...

Any advice much appreciated

Thanks
