It didn't really feel too good at all when I was turning it actually.
It would go so far and then become really quite tight, but then if you let off the pressure and put it back on again it would turn. Sounds strange but thats the best way I can describe it . When I tried this before I thought it was maybe just the way the belt was running on the knackered tensioner, but the new one on now made no difference.
Anyhow, I have bitten the bullet and started to strip the head off. Coolant drained, airbox out, engine mount off etc.
Is it really necessary to drain the oil though? Surely it will all be in the sump anyway?
