Hello all, sorry for the late reply(s)!! We had decided to keep her unless we found a suitable replacement... Just try and better an xc90 for family versatility eh?!

The power loss has happened once since the original post, it happened during a motorway run as we were climbing up a sliproad. I had noticed the fuel gauge was low, just above red, 65miles to empty tank. Took it to the garage the following day, not fault codes stored etc and no obvious signs of fuel pump issues. But it only ever seems to happen when the fuel is quite low, less than 1/4 tank iirc.
