I can see the logic. I’ve had my XC60 at 130mph briefly on the German Autobahn. Interesting, you need to concentrate, and the fuel consumption is obviously terrible. I would say - on the Autobahns - 100-110mph is actually fast enough if you need to make rapid progress, but traffic conditions don’t often allow this. As for the UK, I just wish we had some ‘out of hours’ flexibility in the speed limit. Driving at 70mph on a deserted M6 in Cumbria at dead of night is just so boring to the point of almost making you feel sleepy. Now that’s another point for discussion.
