I've just bought a used V60 and noticed on the test drive that the HUD was blurry and had what appeared to be a double image.
Drove it back to back with another V60, also with the HUD and that one was perfect, so it was easy to demonstrate to the dealer (which was a car supermarket, not Volvo dealer).
I agreed to buy it on the condition they sort the HUD and they took it to the local Volvo dealer who said that the windscreen had been replaced with a non-Volvo windscreen.
Almost 3 weeks later and at a cost of over £900 to the car supermarket, it has a genuine Volvo windscreen and has been recalibrated. Nice crisp HUD and all of the assistance features working.
Loving the car but am now living in terror that I get a crack in the windscreen as I'm sure the windscreen cover on my insurance does not guarantee a genuine Volvo windscreen, just a compatible screen.
Make sure the auction company will cover the cost.
