Brand new to this forum, joined to send you a message really. I had the exact problems you described with 'engine sysytem service urgent' and 'reduced brake performance'. I eventually spotted a lose pipe while my mechanic was pondering the problem. The pipe in question comes from the inlet manifold and joins a sensor under the plate that holds the bonnet catch. problem solved instantly... if you need pics or anything get in touch
