£1500 ONO.

118000 miles. Based in Sutton, Surrey,

We’ve had this car in the family since January 2010, and before that I believe it was owned by a director of Bentley who wafted up and down the motorway for three years, and it has been maintained for the most part at our brilliant local Volvo specialist, GB Autos. Always serviced on time and any requirements dealt with when needed. It’s been a great family car for us, but we need something bigger so it is being upscaled to an XC90.

I have kept every receipt since we have had it so there is a mass of paperwork, MOTs and a fully stamped service book.

Great car, lovely deep barants blue that changes in different light from looking almost black at times, to a sparkling deep azure in the sun.

Incredibly economical engine when driven sensibly on a long run. I have photographic proof of the on board computer showing I got 75.1mpg on a 248 journey last year! Not sure what that was in reality, but would be in the sixties I presume. Can also be quite spirited when in the mood.

Cruise, Electric memory driver’s seat, black leather, premium sound, FSH, MOT September 2021, and cambelt replaced a couple of years ago - documented evidence

The good:

- Brilliant condition for the year. There are some marks on the bodywork, a tiny dent on the rear bumper and some minor marks to the paintwork. Very good for a 14 year old car.
- Good tyres.
- Interior in excellent condition - leather has been well looked after with some wear, but no splits.
- Premium sounds - stunning dynamics when played a little louder!
- MAF and turbo actuator are currently being changed at the aforementioned GB Autos as it was running roughly and producing smoke. Runs like a dream now apparently and probably the best it has since we owned it! I’m picking it up on Saturday.
- No DPF
- Drive great - smooth and comfortable, but also fairly nimble.
- Everything works as it should, apart from one thing that is mentioned below…

The bad:

- The wheels are a little tatty, but more than acceptable. They are not badly curbed, just look a little rough around the edges.
- Some blemishes to the paintwork, but again nothing major and it polishes up nicely.
- Brolly hatch on parcel shelf doesn’t clip closed. Not sure it ever has, and it doesn’t bother me.
- The clear lens on one wing mirror indicator is cracked and a bit is missing. It still works and I have never got around to fixing it. Wouldn’t take much effort to fix I suspect.
- It hasn’t been used a great deal over lockdown, but apart from the MAF and the turbo actuator it has faired well. I’ve kept the battery charged and taken it for a run when I can.
- Rear hatch struts not supporting the boot lid as well as they should. It stays open fine, but doesn’t descend with the grace a Volvo should. Again, not something that bothers me, but worth pointing out.
- And the big one, I have just discovered the air-conditioning condenser needs replacing. I would do this myself as it could be a couple of hundred at a garage, but will not get around to it as we need to move this on now. This would be a fairly simple and economical fix for someone half-decent with a spanner. I realise it is not the best way to sell a car, but it is what it is.

Photos available at the weekend when I get the car back. Any questions please send a PM.

Cheers,
Sam
