I would say any driver who is relying and driver aids to warn/stop a collision then most likely that driver is not safe to be on the roads.

True, however when someone has passed an exit on a roundabout you don't expect them to come back around the roundabout pretty much the wrong way. It falls under 'the unexpected ' granted, however you can't look everywhere. I would of classed the driver to my left the current greater hazard (assuming the lady infront was past my exit so assumed unhittable) so I was directing my attention to them at the time.
These aids are on the car so use them to fill in the holes in the Swisscheese as we will all drop one eventually.
However lesson learnt and all that...
