Well, Scandix' definition makes me a bodywork specialist! ;-)
The later model front is indeed slightly different. To accomodate the larger radiator, you will need to cut small bits from the frame rails at the bottom of the radiator. You will also need another cover plate in front of the radiator top. Ans other hoses ofcourse. You will end up with improved cooling capacity. My recent trip through 30+°C Italy proved no problems in cooling.
