Ordered a new number plate for my trailer when I changed the car two years ago.
£12 I think online, no questions asked whatsoever. Arrived in a couple of days.

Only when cloning becomes an epidemic and revenue starts to become affected, will authorities take notice. There are many tales (particularly relating to the London congestion charge) of false identity and the battles some unfortunate owners have had even when the vehicle is obviously a different model and colour. "but the camera doesnt lie, pay up".
I noticed in Norway this week that speed cameras are all forward facing as it appears that the drivers identity must be proven to enact a successful conviction. Unlike here, where, by overturning centuries of legal precedent, you are legally bound to admit guilt. Could you ever see the American '5th amendment' being overturned in similar circumstances?
