Well, I am still away so only had the collection day and the next morning driving it but the little driving I managed to do, I was really impressed.
The suspension is probably the biggest improvement over the R-Design Pro (on Air) that I originally test drove. The R-Design had a very plush ride but due to that, any hint of a corner would have it rolling about like an ocean liner. The Ohlins shocks fitted to the P* make the ride much stiffer but with such exquisite damping that it dosent crash about on Norfolk back roads, its surprisingly comfortable and without a hint of body roll, at least at normal road speeds. Cant wait to start playing about with the damping setting!!
The steering is greatly improved too, it still isnt dripping with feel but its much easier to place on the road and turn in happens immediately, the addition of the front strut brace and the revised suspension proving their worth.
Its quick to!! Having come from an RS6 I wasn't expecting to be blown away by its performance as its 200 bhp down but it really does have a surprising turn of pace for a 2.3 ton SUV.
However, its the electric side of it that is the biggest difference for me, instant torque and the ability to drive into town (and sometimes back out again) in electric mode only is fantastic. The Volvo On Call App allows me to keep track of how the wife is driving when I'm away and it showed a recent 16 mile trip into town recorded 149 mpg economy.
She got a little carried away in Polestar Engineered mode on the way home but the average for the whole journey was still 108 mpg.
When I finally get home and drive it some more, I will no doubt pass on some better pictures and also some more driving impressions.
