Sounds like a loose or pin-holed return line, but thats maybe too 'old skool' given you have a self-bleeding pump.
From the little i've read on these they do need good 'within tolerance' injectors or fuel pressure is reduced to the extent of giving this symptom....
Fuel rail pressure reading using a dongle thingy will tell you if the tank pump is awake or not.
