engine jack for mounts where?
watched one of Sirobbs vids on youtube channel and he changing out his lower mounts and he removes lower gearbox mount then jacks gearbox attached to engine in order so he can raise engine to get mounts out
is this what i should do to avoid busting bottom of engine sump ? ie in order to safely remove the top mount in picture (original thread question)
support the engine here ( on gearbox ) or
just have block of wood directly under engine block jacked to take weight if thats all then im safe to remove top mount and get on with it am I ?
or is this going to result in damage going for simple block of wood under it
I know this sounds like serious idiot stuff to those who are day in day out on these engines but so dont want to make a simple move without the clarity for risk of doing massive damage i cant afford at minute
