on years, I would go for a narrow window of 86-87 360s they had the best looks and highest torque engines. 87 GLTs maybe low compression though.
The later low octance/low compression cars are a real let down as a result of the lower compression. They do have PAS which is nice and more special editions with leather and so on.
Of course if you are just looking for a run around the 1.4 is economical and fairly reliable, its just not as luxurious and drivable as a 360 though. I have a pet hate for the 1.7s.
