Info from 1996 940 owners Manual

Axle Ratios are dependant on box, Diesel has a special ZF auto box, B230FK has a special manual box.

Autos:
ZF (Diesel only) 3.73:1
AW(B230FK also known as LPT) 3.71:1
AW (by implication all other variants) 4.10:1

Manual
M90 (B230FK) 3.31:1
M90 (by implication all other variants) 3.54

Engine variants listed B230FK (135hp), GK (leaded/unleaded, 135hp), FT (165hp), GT (leaded/unleaded, 135hp), B200FT (leaded/unleaded, 155hp), B200GT (155hp), D24TIC (Diesel, 122hp, 240 Nm)
