Assuming you have the facelift 740 and if so, that the interior is similar to the facelift 760 in layout at least, this is what you have to do :

First of all, locate the screw in the top of the glovebox that retains the long trim strip and remove it - Pozidriv stubby screwdriver works well for this!

Once removed, use something wide and flat like a paint scraper to get under and behind the trim strip and ease it out working you way along.

Once out, you should see two screws under the centre vents, if you push the top of the vents in as if they would be blowing towards the roof, you should find another two screws, one in each vent hole

Remove those 4 screws.

On the other end of the dashboard, use the paint scraper to ease the other piece of trim out. Another screw underneath the drivers side vent and if you push the top of it in, you'll find another screw - remove these two.

On the instrument surround in the "roof" of it, there are two more screws, hidden by a couple of small blanking pieces. Pop thees out with a small screwdriver then remove the screws.

Now ease the rocker switch surrounds out with the paint scraper and let them dangle so you have room to pull the entire vent/instrument cluster surround panel out, easing along it as you go.

You'll need to be a bit of a contortionist to get it over the steering wheel but it can be done.
