If a Volvo dealer fitted the parts there should be a time / mileage guarantee on the parts. There's no way that a set of discs on a standard road car should need replacing in under 5000 miles unless they were faulty, or the discs were not fitted in the right way.

I think you have a strong case for getting them replaced for free.
