Update:

Found it at bloody last!
Wasn’t in the cabin, decided to look around bulkhead, behind the battery tray this bracket, that was resting against the bulkhead and rubbing the paint away, and rattling against bulkhead over bumps. Bent it away from bulkhead, went for a drive and bingo! No noise!

I am now back in love with my Volvo.... maybe it knew it’s my b’day this weekend?
