I would walk away , its not a good idea for people not familiar with these new design volvo cars to tamper with them .. it could come away with other faults .

It is probably the cam cover leaking , which could have other implications .

A Volvo of that age and complexity in a non volvo garage for sale will always be a worry ... why did the previous owner get rid of it in a way like that, where a non volvo garage could get hold of it ... ?

Pay a few more £1000 and get a volvo selekt used car ..
