Hi all
I am replacing the upper/rear torque mount/bush on a
1998 V70 T5 Auto
Part number is 9434263
Outside diameter of the cylindrical hard plastic shell is 60.1 mm - 61.6 mm (they tend to be slightly out of round), so say 60.8 mm.
Length of the shell is 39.5 mm
The procedure should be the same as for 1997 and 850s.
I sometimes have replaced the upper rear/torque mount on these by removing the whole pressed steel bracket, and replacing it with "one I prepared earlier".
You have to remove various hoses, maybe the distributor cap (I don't remember) and take care not to pinch the cam position sensor wires.
Various DIY guides are available, including Robert DIYs homemade tool (not currently in stock and has to be shipped from USA).

The various guides sometimes refer to drivers side and passenger side, which you have to translate (because the pressed steel bracket has a larger opening on one side than the other).
Has anyone replaced this mount in situ, using off the shelf UK hardware? Various bearing press kits are available on ebay but it is difficult to know if they would work.
I would prefer not to replace with a two part polyurethane mount, I really want to know a good technique to do this for my own satisfaction.
Thanks,
Steve
