I have just bought a new Bosch in tank pump as mine is whining like a banshee.
My car also came with a spare pump and I'm struggling to work out how it goes together. The small silver pump looks like it should go in the black plastic sleeve but I cant get it to go in.
I ordered the new Bosch one as I thought it would be better than fitting a second hand one that could fail again. Trouble is the Bosch one is much bigger and definitely wont fit in the plastic sleeve.
Having said all that I don't know what my pump is like as I haven't removed it yet. See attached pictures
