I'm having the very same noise I've narrowed it to a hydraulic lifter I'm going to tackle it this weekend the parts are cheap enough I was 100% it was injectors I spent a nice amount having them removed checked (one reconditioned ) new seals and then the same noise.
An easy way to verify if it's an injector is to remove the electrical connector one at a time whilst running if the noise doesn't go then it's not an injector solenoid clicking
Alternatively if going down a hill turn off the key making the engine still turn for a few seconds if the noise doesn't go away its most likely a tappet I'll let you know has it improved after I replace the tappets
I'm just trying to let you in on what I've learned without blowing money unnecessarily the noise I have is identical and in a built up area in low gear it's embarrassing 😫
