More gearbox woes
Hi all. Partly my fault but I misread the reservoir and let the clutch fluid drop too low. I have the jc5 box and had to fit a replacement when the diff exploded so got a new clutch fitted at the same time. On the motorway Friday night it popped out of gear and I had no clutch. The end seal on the box had been weeping when I had to tighten the fifth gear nut and the box was low on oil. Now it's all sorted it drives fine, but there is a rattle like a loose heat shield even with the clutch down. Think the box is gone, or has the clutch failed?
