It is the VEA engine, but D3 version, as it was introduced just as I placed the order for the car in May 2015 so I was informed by the salesman at the time.

Good luck, but it already sounds like Volvo are supporting you with this.
Maybe that pipe was almost blocked and the sensor cleaning actually made it worse?
£200 seems a lot for a stubby little pipe that's easy to get to!
