The original Volvo linkage part number is 30850294

On the Polish volvo forum I discovered that someone has changed the plastic cylinder to copper (muff size 12.08x14.08x14.00 mm). But because wearing of a cylinder is larger on one side, the hole in the center of the rotation axis must be drilled precisely.
I also found on ebay, the offer from producer from Poland, who creates new linkages to S40 / V40 MK1. I contacted him but he told me that his part does not match the UK Volvo version.
But it looks exactly the same, so I think he was not right. And his cost of the new part starts from £28 with postage.
I have bought the used linkages yet. So if the problem will occur again, I will take a risk and change to this new part :-)
