XC90 order looming & thoughts

First post so take it easy please.....
Well after twelve years of Audi's, the current being the latest Q7, its time for a change and the XC90 T5 R Design seems to be ticking the boxes over everything else I have looked at.
The last three cars have been secured through two year PCH's and I have been very happy with the Q7, but there are no deals out there so being a tight ar$3 I am leaving the brand. Flip side is there seem to be Volvo dealers out there willing to talk and deal and I am very happy with quotes I am getting.
So, my only concern (test drive over Christmas) is the engine and gearbox as the Q7 is super smooth. The XC90 is a far nicer looking thing IMO and the interior is certainly on par with the Q7.
Thoughts on the R Design would be good to hear and also anyone else who has migrated from a Q7 to the XC90.
