I would suggest that's not bad wear rates, our car didn't tow until it had done about 26000 miles and the history is:
Original front tyres lasted c32,000
Next set lasted to 61,000
Current set have 3mm at 86,000
Original rear tyres lasted to 73,000
Rear pads lasted to 35,000
Second set lasted to 65,000 (changed a bit early since first set wrecked the discs)
Front pads lasted to 68,000
I don't think that's bad for a heavy SUV that's used on both motorway and local roads and tows a 1750KG caravan.
Hmm I think 2018 might be an expensive year, rear brakes, cambelt....
