I'm having the same sort of difficulty. I'm wondering how far you rewrapped the wiring. Just from the Sensor to the "loom?" (the wiring encased in the hard plastic that the sensor connection comes out of) or did you go all the way to the ignition?

Hi nascenta,I investigated(unwraped/rewraped) the loom from the ecu box to cam and crank sensors and all parts off it,inshort the whole of the engine compartment loom.The main man who kept me going, and insisting we would find the problem together,was Chris Rogers.Chris would be the first man i would contact to help with a wiring fault,top man.
Ps I would say my Multimeter was essential.
