Many will have taken advantage of 3 or 5 year service plans from the original purchase: I will be using main dealer for that period clearly.
That said, Leicester has a good independent Volvo specialist that I would not hesitate to use if out of warranty.
A good main dealer may have cheaper rates for older cars as well.....
But older cars we have I get serviced by a small workshop nearby - someone I trust with all things car - no specialist volvo tools, but we have an older family Fiesta he does all the work on....
