Nearly 28 years on the drum handbrake shoes, and still holding and passing the MOT (other than that little design 'roll back' that always worries the car behind when stopping on a hill!).
However, did have to replace part of the hand brake cable in 2002 when the pressed bullet on the handbrake end of Bowden cable at the handbrake just 'popped orf' (not the first time I have heard of that!). Bob
