Thanks! A friend and I swapped the drivetrain over a weekend. A couple more weekends and evenings sorted the intercooler mounting, pipework (turbo, fuel lines, cooling etc) and wiring to make it driveable, and another afternoon to build the exhaust.

With modern cars (this is modern to me!) It's fiddly things like working out the speed signal to the ECU which take the time. That needed the clocks to be removed and a hall sensor glued into the Speedo to sense the Speedo cable revolutions
