The problem is now solved. I bought a chrome on brass Sienna basin mixer tap sold by one of the bathroom wherehouses on the Internet for the princely sum of £17.99.
Now fitted and tested and all good. The replacement tap looks and feels a lot better than the original. Must remember to make a note of its make and model for when it needs a new cartridge, though with cartridges running at up to £10 each it may be easier to change the tap again.

Paul.
I did wonder if there was a suitable domestic tap to suit. Good solution.

're your concerns of the build quality of Coachman. The UK manufacturers have gone so lightweight in a bid to appeal to those with featherweight cars that they in turn have to use lighter components that have very low longevity.

We moved away from UK caravans this year after a frustrating 7 yrs of bits falling off or prematurely failing, like your tap.

Time will tell if the Adria we have bought is a better choice. So far so good, not one thing has caused us issue.
