're your concerns of the build quality of Coachman. The UK manufacturers have gone so lightweight in a bid to appeal to those with featherweight cars that they in turn have to use lighter components that have very low longevity.

We moved away from UK caravans this year after a frustrating 7 yrs of bits falling off or prematurely failing, like your tap.

Time will tell if the Adria we have bought is a better choice. So far so good, not one thing has caused us issue.
Examining the old tap leado me to belive it may of been used as a parts bin while sat on the dealer forecourt. There are old marks and scratches on the tap which indicate it has been taken apart with stilsons or some such. Untill you remove the top these marks were not visable. I think it was robbed of its cartrage to repair another van in the workshop and the ordered cartridge was fitted to my tap. The way it has fallen apart suggests over tightening along with the stilson marks. It sat for 18 months and a new model came out which is why I got a very good deal on it. My suspicions over the tap led me to fix it myself rather than claim on the warrenty, van has had its second service this year, carried out by a local independent mobile servicer rather than the dealer.

I spent an evening comparing the 2017 and 2018 models, the 2017 model was a better equipped van with thicker insulation than the later one, though it was as you say heavier. The standard extracor fan on mine was a £300 extra on the following model.
