Default RE: Brake pedal on 1978 244DL

Never tried brickboard.com before but as you say it is a real eye opener as every subject is dealt with here.

Any way to reset the pressure drop warning valve, I tried the heavy boot approach and held the brake pedal down for 60 secs and the warning light flickered a couple of times. So I then drove the car up and down the drive a couple of times and braked harder each time until after about 7 runs the light went out and stayed out. At least I now have good brakes front and rear but the old fluid has to be changed and the old rear calipers exchanged for the new ones. I may wait untill after the M.O.T. retest to do this as getting the old calipers off with out breaking the end off the brake pipes where they enter the calipers is not guaranteed.

I'll let you know how I get on.
