Sorry to keep commenting on this spoke to a gearbox specialist and they told me the 8.5mm is standard size transmission pipe and the 10mm joiner is to make sure it’s a tight fit.
He also said where the Volvo connectors that go into the gearbox and radiator are thinner than 8.5mm so the flow of fluid wouldn’t be effected.
So still going to wait for a while to hopefully find a Volvo one but if not will probably buy one of the universal ones and fit that I’m doing a 650 mile round trip in the summer so want to get it done for then and have it serviced by Volvo to have the latest transmission software installed and to be abit cheeky and ask them to reset the oil counter as I will change all the fluid again.
