After the DIM playing up on my 02 V70 D5 I read the all the posts re DIM that I could find and decided to have look inside the unit .It was displaying all the usual intermittent faults that were fast becoming permanent. I found some joints that were dull and dry and re-soldered them . It fixed one problem then another started . I am competent at soldering but was worried about heat damage to the I/C's on the board . I bit the bullit and took the unit to BBA-reman at Rochester in kent .They are Specialist Automotive Engineers. They have repaired all the faults and checked all circuits for any imminent failures. Cost was £172-50 with a two year warranty. They usually take 2-3 days but are very busy at the moment and took four days . They are situated near Rocheter Air Port and can be contacted at:
