The well water everyone has upstate is called "liquid rock".
I bought distilled water at $1 per US gallon (<23p./l) for a coolant flush for a lad's wedding present.
His Dad's truck was added to the day's work. Alas, Dad wouldn't spring for the distilled.
The lad's coolant stayed crystal orange-red clear (Dex-Cool) 'til the day he sold it.
Pop's coolant was cloudy almost immediately.
You get what you pay for.
