Well, I finally got the hubs of yesterday (I've started a new thread on rebuilding the rear brakes -
https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showt...62#post2654062) and I found 1" bore wheel cylinders. They look original (the car has only done 16k miles and just 2k in the last 30 years!) and support the idea that non-servo cars should have 1" bore cylinders.
I am pretty sure that the problem lies in either the front brakes being too inefficient (next joib) or the that the BRV is not functioning properly (last resort).
