Hey Volvo fans,
I have a lovely C30, but with the dreaded Alarm System Requred Message. I've changed the battery inside the siren unit, but message stayed. Interesting is that the alarm actually sounds (tested by unlocking with emergency key and opening door or by sitting inside and activating the mass motion sensor). Before getting a new siren unit, I was wondering if someone in the Manchester area would be willing to hook up their Vida and confirm that the SCM is bad.
I'd rather buy a volvo enthusiast a few cans, than diagnose it at a dealership...
